Liah, Yes, you can usually rescue the site but you need someone who knows what to look for that hackers may have added to the code. And her suggestions about setting up a new hosting account, etc. are excellent.

Thanks to Laura, I thought when you’ve been hacked, you can’t retrieve anything anymore. So there is really something you can do aside from just let it go to waste.
